That knowledge is valuable. It should also be easier to share. Rebase brings those connections into view, so responsibility can move beyond one inbox, one drawer or one person’s memory.

A family isn't an organization. But keeping one moving can feel like running one.
We both went abroad for school, then university, then work. Each move meant visas, insurance, registrations and another set of rules to understand. We did this on our own at first. Now we do it with families and four-legged friends.
And still, things caught us out. A passport renewal noticed too late. Insurance that quietly renewed at a worse rate. A school enrolment deadline buried in a newsletter, found three days before it closed. The information was usually there, somewhere. Knowing what needed attention, and how it affected everything else, was harder.
Having people depend on us changed how that felt. A missed renewal could affect a child’s residency. A partner might not know where to look for something we had always handled. We started asking a different question: if one of us couldn’t take care of it tomorrow, would someone else know where to begin?
Living across borders adds another layer. Moving somewhere new doesn’t close every connection to the country you left. Your citizenship, previous employment or family relationships can still matter years later. And each person in the family can have a different set of connections.
We wanted help understanding what all of that meant for us. What might we have overlooked? What could a change affect? Was there something worth exploring that we didn’t even know to ask about?
That is why we’re building Rebase: a virtual family office for families whose lives cross borders. Its intelligence brings knowledge of countries and how their rules connect together with your family’s circumstances. It helps surface what may matter, explain why and show what may need attention next.
Just as importantly, we want that understanding to be shared. The knowledge built through years of decisions should remain useful to a partner, a family member or someone trusted to step in.
We’re building carefully, with our own families and the years ahead in mind. We want to spend less time trying to hold everything in our heads, and feel more confident that the people we love have what they need.
That is the kind of family office we're trying to build.
